The wintering season

"Winter is a season of recovery and preparation." – Paul Theroux

Winter is the season of rest. It is a time to burrow deep into coziness to make soups, teas, find stillness in the beauty of winter. The Earth takes pause during the season of winter a time to reflect, to gather, to be. To find gratitude from the beginning part of the year to set intentions for the fourth coming parts of spring, a time to to reap all the benefits that this year has given us. To slow down and enjoy these moments with those we love in our community. We can look at winter as a time of struggle, bitterness, and cold or we can shift our perspective and look at it as a time of renewal so we can rebirth into new growth in the spring. The time to allow ourselves to rest, to pause, and to be just like the Earth is allowing herself to do the same. We can find a gentle rhythm and flow for the season. One that includes family, community, and enjoyment on our own personal time.

I know this winter season, I want to be able to find my cozy intentions. To be present with my loved ones while we enjoy this time together indoors. How do you want to spend this winter season?
